The Knott County Coroner’s Office is working to bring an important training opportunity to Eastern Kentucky:
Mass Fatality Planning & Response for Rural Communities, presented by the Rural Domestic Preparedness Consortium (RDPC) and FEMA.

Pre-registration deadline: October 3, 2025
In order for RDPC and FEMA instructors to travel in and host the session, at least 20 participants must be pre-registered by the deadline. Organizers are currently seeking a few more sign-ups to meet this requirement.
This course provides essential training for rural emergency responders, coroners, public health personnel, and others involved in disaster planning and mass fatality response.
