We are excited to welcome newly appointed coroners and recently hired deputy coroners to our first basic training course of 2024 held in Louisville! This is an essential step in preparing them for the important responsibilities ahead.
Throughout the day, we’ll be discussing critical topics including legal aspects of the job, death investigations, and the responsibilities outlined for coroners. These discussions will be guided by Kentucky Revised Statutes (KRS) 72.415, which require all new coroners and deputies to complete this Basic Training Course within their first year of service.
